After the huge success of the Manolo Blahnik debut at London Fashion Week for the Spring Summer 2014 collections, the new collection will now be showcased at New York Fashion Week. ‘Next season we might take it to another city – who knows? I would like to directly communicate what I do and my inspirations to people in different cities,’ says Mr Blahnik.

‘Look at these shoes – are they just not decadent and beautiful!’

The Spring Summer 2014 collections were introduced with a short film by Michael Roberts at The Covent Garden Hotel. The shoes were obviously the stars of the film but other cast included Rupert Everett and Lucy Birley. The amazing set was dressed by Rifat Ozbek and iconic hats were provided by Stephen Jones.

As Manolo Blahnik unveiled the collection he said, ‘Look at these shoes – are they just not decadent and beautiful!’ He couldn’t be more right! With rich embroideries and a hint of Spanish influences the collection is exquisite. There is embellishment, checks, tassels, jewels and a pair of flats spun from pure gold. It is so hard to choose just one statement pair of shoes for the season!

I’m particularly drawn to the pastel shades and sorbet colours for Summer ♥
