In the past couple of months my friends and family think I have becomes a sales representative for Carmex and I assure you this is not the case. If you saw my recent post on the Organic Pharmacy’s lip balm you’ll know that I have tried to weaning myself and my Vaseline obsessed family off the Vaseline and use a lip balm instead. I do love Vaseline and always have (a bit too much) but it does not hydrate your lips, but simply protects your lips and in Winter our lips need that extra hydration.
When I put Vaseline on, I feel myself constantly reapplying as my lips are craving moisture. With Carmex I do not feel the constant need to reapply as my lips are moisturised from the first application. It’s also a great base for applying lipstick as it is not too sticky or slippery.
To mark the launch of the new Snoopy and Charlie Brown movie which launches this December, Carmex has got a little makeover. There are a number of limited edition lids with the characters of Snoopy, Charlie Brown and even Peanuts on them. The product itself is still the same formula and flavour containing menthol and beeswax which leaves a tingling but soothing effect on the lips. Unfortunately, I cannot find these special edition Carmex online yet (mine are press samples) but I can tell you they will be £3.49 each and they will debut this October.
Carmex has been protecting lips for over 75 years so if you are looking for a cheap and no fuss lipbalm try Carmex. Do you have any Carmex stories to share?
