Autumn is the season to be glamorous and shine in the lights! Lips get darker and eyes become more smouldering with more shades of brown across the lids. When it comes to beauty trends, I like to take inspiration and look at catwalk images but still have my signature make-up look with a hint of autumn.
Here’s my round-up of the Autumn Winter beauty trends for this year ♥
This is a very London look especially when you think of the likes of Kate Moss, kind of rock chic or ‘I woke up like this‘ look. I love how Diane Von Furstenburg does it, a heavy but well blending waterline to soften it a bit. I don’t think this is one of those catwalk extreme looks either, it can be worn just as it is for most people.
When you scroll through Instagram and follow all the beauty bloggers like I do, it seems like everyone is all about lashes these days! Why not, I am certainly a lashes kind of girl. Long lashes open up the eyes and scream glamour, I love the Max Mara look which is effortlessly glam and how the make-up artists for the Roberto Cavalli show created long lashes with a heavy waterline.
The perfectly polished look is classy with flawless skin, subtle contouring and flushed cheeks. Everything used in moderation. If eyeshadow is used it’s in subtle shades of brown, less is definitely more as far as this trend is concerned.
There are two lip trends you need to know about this season and they are quite contrasting. Blackberry lips which have been seen by so many and for a more muted look a la Marc Jacobs you can go for blackberry stained lips. On the other side of colour, nude glossy lips are a huge trend so if colour isn’t your thing then get glossy.
You need luxurious locks to accompany your perfectly polished look this season. Think shiny hair, soft waves and blow dried hair. The hair look of the season is like you just stepped out of the salon. Shiny and well done hair was seen on the catwalk of Moschino, Rodarte and Issa but to name a few.
