As this time of year is all about shimmer and sparkle I thought it was the perfect time to talk about the Illamasqua Radiance Veil. Before I go on, I have a little disclaimer which is that pictures do not do this product justice.
Even in the pot, this primer shimmers like no other but you can’t see how amazing it is in pictures so I urge you take a closer look at it in store. The Illamasqua veils are gorgeous primers, creating a base for flawless make-up application. I am a huge believer in primer, when you use a good one it creates a perfect canvas as I said but also it’s a barrier between your skin and make-up, living up to Illamasqua’s given product name, veils.
The Radiance veil has a gorgeous shimmer to it, when you first apply it to your face it really shimmers and may look a little over the top. Once you add your foundation, a shimmer shines through in all the right places but looks more natural. If you opt to wear the Radiance Veil alone, you can just add it to areas you would normally highlight or mix it in with your moisturiser.
‘Radiance Veil is exactly what it says – a veil of beautiful light that glows and radiates. A soft peach golden tone like seeing your skin softened in candle light. Used alone it gives a polished, new born soft reflection to the skin. As a base under foundation it gives skin a feeling of a radiant inner glow.’ Illamasqua Creative Director, Alex Box
I think it is perfect for the party season, even in the day as everyone loves that little bit of extra sparkle and shimmer! I used it in my recent Christmas Sparkle tutorial so make sure you have a look and also mentioned it in my November favourites.
I also need to take a moment to talk about the packaging, I love the very luxury Illamasqua packaging anyway but the veils have a mini spatula so you can scoop out the product without having to stick your hands in the pot..genius!
