You may remember my promise in a recnt pregnancy style post about finding the perfect flat shoes as high heels in pregnancy are a big no no (sorry ladies but it’s true) well here they are and they are doctor recommended ♥
French stylist and owner of Seraphine maternity, Cecile Reinaud started a collaboration with French Doctor, Jean Douhaire and in 2011 they launched Shoe Therapy. With Dr Jean’s Douhaire’s background in back ache, swollen feet, posture and numerous sports injuries together with Cecile’s fashion expertise and brand knowledge they have created a shoe that is good for posture (not just in pregnancy), reduces and can even cure back pain, reduces cellulite (I wouldn’t lie) and most importantly looks good and fits in with your fashionista wardrobe.
‘Being able to offer a fashionable looking shoe that has real health benefit is very exiting and I hope you will enjoy wearing them as much as I enjoyed developing this new venture. The creation of shoe therapy meant a lot for me, as I myself have experienced the discomfort of back ache and how incapacitating it can be.’ Cecile Reinaud
I have always wanted to say this…here comes the science part
Shoe Therapy’s patented sole is designed to minimise strain on your calf muscles which improves circulation and prevents the appearance of those nasty varicose veins and cellulite. This shoe is highly recommended for during pregnancy and shortly after to allow your body to find it’s natural balance again which is disrupted during the extra weight gain.
So there you have it, all this from just a shoe and now the range has been extended to loafers as well as ballet pumps, I absolutely love the new leopard print loafer ♥
Another clever little shoe is from Redfoot, ideal for someone who is always on the go or someone who has done a spontaneous bit of shopping which leaves that dreadful hot achy feeling in your feet. This shoe can be folded in your bag and are there for you when you need them, whether it’s in the rain, at the end of an unplanned night out or even at the end of a planned night out (just remember to pop them in your clutch bag!)
The durable sole can take you through everyday with whatever life throws at you, the flexisole has the ability to fold and I am told up to 151 000 times without damage…but who’s counting??
I’d definitely grab a pair for those Christmas parties coming up, we must be kind to our feet ♥
